PSA National Delegates’ Congress

The national delegates' congress is held every two years. It is the highest constitional authority of the PSA and sets the policy direction.
Representation
Representation at Congress is on the basis of 1 representative per 500 members (or part thereof) per sector, plus 2 runanga representatives per sector, and an additional staff group representative.
Remits
In accordance with PSA Rules 43 and 44, the business of the Congress includes consideration of any remits proposed from sectors, the runanga, secretariat or the executive board.
Election of president
Congress is responsible for electing the president of the PSA.
Life membership
Life membership can be granted by the national delegates’ congress to “members or former members who have demonstrated long and distinguished service in support of the principles and objects of the PSA”.
Annual General Meeting
The annual general meeting provides constitutional oversight between national delegates' congresses and receive reports from the treasurer and the executive board.
Representation
Representatives are the executive board, four additional representatives from each sector, an additional staff group representative.
