A message of support for your industrial action. It is a tough decision to make and I wish you all the best. Kia kaha.
South Island Clerical workers have been offered a zero increase. Their employers' refusal to agree to a pay increase has stranded them as one of the worst paid occupational groups in the health sector, many on little more than the minimum wage.
The clerical workers are mounting a determined campaign for pay fair. They are getting strong support from doctors, nurses and other health professionals.

December 17 was DHB Sticker Day - throughout the South Island. All Allied staff - doctors, nurses, orderlies and PSA members - proudly wore the stickers in support of the South Island Clerical Workers Campaign. It was a great show of unity with hospital colleagues in the struggle for fair pay. Sticker Day proved so popular that members have asked we do it again next month. One member said "it wasn’t industrial but meaningful - we can't be overlooked and the issue needs to be addressed".
