Long-term insights briefings are required under Public Service Act 2020 to be prepared by public service departments at least once every three years. They are one of the key ways that the chief executives of government agencies give effect to the Public Service principle of stewardship.
In 2024 Te Kawa Mataaho the Public Service Commission consulted on the scope of its second long-term insights briefing. The PSA made a submission on the scope of the briefing.
