Join us at 1pm on Wednesday October 23rd at Parliament to stand up for Te Tiriti o Waitangi, workers’ rights, and public and community services for all.
What: A hui for people, our unions, and communities to fight back against attacks to Te Tiriti and workers’ rights.
Who: Everyone’s welcome – bring whānau and friends! Remember, people working in public and community services have a right to attend events like this during your personal time, including lunch breaks.
How: If you work in Wellington central city, there might be a walking bus you can join with PSA members! Check out the details.
Where: Parliament Lawn
When: 1-2pm, Wednesday 23 October
And here’s why:
The heart of health, local government, community and public services is care for people and our planet. We all come to work to make a difference. But the coalition government have made unprecedented attacks on PSA members, their livelihoods and the services they deliver. Together we can send a clear message that we stand for workers’ rights, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a well-funded health, local government, community and public services.
Get ready by printing out a sign to bring with you and let people know what you’re fighting back for:
For more information, check out this page for everything you need to know as a PSA member.
This is part of a National Day of Action organised by the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions Te Kauae Kaimahi. You can RSVP and find out more here.
