We are now in the process of bargaining a new Collective Agreement for the PSA members at Te Whatu Ora workers on individual employment agreements (IEAs), covered by the Manatu Hauora (Ministry of Health), and the Health Promotion Agency Collective- it's time to get you all covered by a new PSA Collective Agreement.

Now is the time to join the PSA to get involved in bargaining with around 700 other PSA members – you can join online here.

There are around 7000 workers who work in a large number of occupational groups. This means we have the potential to have significant industrial influence to create some real change for you and your fellow workers.

 

Coverage

The intended coverage of the Collective Agreement is:

All employees of Te Whatu Ora who are members of the PSA, in non-clinical roles not covered by existing PSA Collective Agreements or PSA Collective Agreements currently in negotiation, within the following job families:

  • Management, excluding the Chief Executive and members of the Executive Leadership
  • Team, Regional Directors, and General Managers
  • IT
  • Finance and Audit
  • Policy, Programmes and Projects
  • Business Analysis and Support
  • Information, Analytics and Research
  • Communications
  • Procurement/Supply Chain
  • HR/P&C, excluding those who interpret and implement employment terms and conditions

 

Milestones

 

Completed:

  • Initiation of bargaining
  • Initial discussion with Te Whatu Ora on intended coverage
  • Bargaining team delegates expression of interest process
  • Development of PSA member bargaining brief - attached
  • Endorsement of claims and bargaining team by members
  • Endorsement of PSA delegate bargaining team
  • Endorsement of ratification process (50% plus 1 of all members who vote)
  • Bargaining dates set

Still to come - electronic voting process

  • Annual members meeting – first week in July, keep a look out for a union update with online meeting schedule.

 

What can you do?

If you are not a member of PSA join up. The more people we have on board the more influence we have and the better outcomes we can achieve.
